Our Story
Jewel of the Sea
"Ula means jewel of the sea, transforming accessible materials into treasures that carry the beauty of nature and everyday life."
Ula, creates nature-inspired jewelry rooted in the biodiversity of Sri Lanka, where the brand began, and now handmade in Massachusetts. Every piece translates a real detail from the outside world, like the shimmer of a peacock feather, the frosted texture of sea glass, or the layered green of a forest canopy, into resin, wire, and beads, entirely handcrafted and made only once.
Where it started
Sri Lanka
Ula's designs trace back to the biodiversity of Sri Lanka. A peacock feather's shimmer, monsoon season green, the shapes that show up again and again in a place this alive. That's still where every design idea starts, even now.
Where it's made
Massachusetts
Every piece is hand formed in a small Massachusetts studio, resin poured, beads strung, wire shaped, one at a time. Small batch and hand formed means the visible hand of the maker is a feature, not a flaw to hide.
What it's made from
Ordinary materials. Extraordinary detail.
Resin
Glass & beads

NATURE-INSPIRED
Inspired by nature's everyday magic
HANDMADE HONESTY
Every piece is small batch and hand formed, with the maker's touch left in on purpose
TWO HOMES
Made in Massachusetts, but our roots are Sri Lankan, and both show up in every piece
EVERYDAY TREASURE
Resin, wire, and beads are humble on their own, but real attention turns them into something more.
Small variation is craft. It's what makes your piece truly one of one.
Every piece is made once, by hand. You'll be the only person in the world to own that design, unless someone asks us to make it again.
